VW transmission mount

The VW transmission mount is actually constructed from high strength rubber and steel material that is affixed to metal plates. This linked system is at the same time attached securely to the chassis. The VW transmission mount’s job is to hold the transmission assembly to the body of the vehicle. It also works with the engine mount in order to control torque and reduce the vibration that’s being transferred to the vehicle’s chassis. This is also the component that’s responsible for maintaining the linkages in their correct positions. Transmission mounts are the ones forming the rear support of the vehicle’s transmission assembly and the proper angling of the driveshaft’s front portion.
